The first part examines the relations between the three concepts of eidetic-constitutive rules, anankastic-constitutive rules and anankastic rules. The second part evaluates John R. Searle's theory of constitutive rules. The third part discusses the semiotic and epistemological relevance of the concept of eidetic-constitutive rules.
